SOCDS County Business Patterns Special Extracts -- Data Suppression Codes

Data on jobs and average annual pay for an industry in a city or metropolitan area are suppressed when release of the data would reveal information about a particular firm. Each data suppression code corresponds to a range for the number of jobs in the industry in the city or metropolitan area. The codes and their corresponding job number ranges are as follows:

• A = 0 to 19
• B = 20 to 99
• C = 100 to 249
• E = 250 to 499
• F = 500 to 999
• G = 1,000 to 2,499
• H = 2,500 to 4,999
• I = 5,000 to 9,999
• J = 10,000 to 24,999
• K = 25,000 to 49,999
• L = 50,000 to 99,999
• M = 100,000 or more

Suppression codes are not available for 1991 data.
